Derek Scott Milbrath passed into eternal life on June 11, 2025, just shy of his 33rd birthday. Born on June 22, 1992, Derek was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He was the beloved son of Michael Milbrath (Michelle) and Tracey Catania (Mike). A loving father to his cherished daughter, Willow Milbrath (Nici Williams) and loved son, Phoenix Milbrath (Michelle Bunk). A devoted brother to Maddox and Mason Milbrath, Grayson Catania (Carina), and sister Sydney Fullerton (Alex).

Derek’s heart was expansive and full of love for his family. He was the adored Grandson of Diane Gamez (Gilbert), Bob and Aileen Powell, Dr. James and Yvonne Catania, Dr. Dennis and Joyce Adam and Great-Grandson of Irene Patterson (Jim). Preceded in death by Ralph Milbrath (Grandfather). Beloved nephews of Jimmy Gamez (Josh), Dan Powell, Lori Bjelde (Jon), Michael Adam (Angela). Derek leaves behind many treasured aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with countless friends who were drawn to his magnetic personality and boundless kindness.

Known for his infectious laugh and ability to make everyone feel like a lifelong friend, Derek had a larger-than-life personality that filled every room he entered. He had a deep passion for movies and tattoos—especially anything Marvel or DC—enjoying comics, bracelets, rare stones, and collectables. A devoted pet dad, Derek, adored his cat, Gamora, and is reunited with Thor.

He was incredibly hardworking and never hesitated to help others, whether it was with a listening ear, a joke, or a gesture of kindness. Derek’s gift for connection and conversation left a lasting mark on everyone who crossed his path.

He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
