Dennis Frank Race, 84, passed on to his next big adventure in the eternal worlds after very short, but loving, care at the Angels Grace Hospice. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, on June 15, 1941, son of the late Howard and Elsie (nee: Brandes) Race.

Dennis was married to Kathleen (Krewal) Race on October 22, 1989, in an Eckankar Service at the Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dennis graduated from Boys Tech in 1959. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force, serving as an aircraft electrician from 1964-1967, earning the rank of Airman First Class. After his discharge from the Air Force, Dennis had a 37-year career as an electrician for AO Smith and later for Tower Automotive who bought AO Smith. Dennis and his daughter, Sheri and son, Steve had black belts in Taekwondo. He was active in the boy and eagle scouts, going to camp outs and other extreme wilderness activities. He had a lifelong love affair with fitness and a zest for healthy living while he could and was able. He also was fascinated with rocks and minerals, having a very extensive collection. He loved steak, pizza, hamburgers, and ice cream. Dennis is a high initiate in ECKANKAR and it was very important to him to be on that spiritual path to God.

Dennis leaves fond memories for his wife, Kathleen; his first wife, Shirley; daughter, Sheri (Matt); son, Steve; daughter, Bonnie (Dan); daughter, Heather (Bret); son, Joe (Gayle); grandchildren: Ajax, Owen, Colin, and Rebecca (Marcus); great grandchildren: Colton, Madaline, Cary, Adam, Aaron (Britni), and Sam; and great great grandchildren: Natalie and Carter. Dennis is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Race.

There will be an ECK Memorial Service honoring Dennis at Alioto's, 3041 N Mayfair Rd, December 7, 2025, 11-2 .
