Dale Allan Bennethum

Dale Allan Bennethum passed away peacefully at his home in Oconomowoc, WI, on July 11, 2025, surrounded by his family and his beloved dog, Kira. He was 78.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, on May 18, 1947, to Harold Bennethum and Ella Rieck, Dale graduated from West Allis High School and earned a Business Degree from UW Milwaukee.

Dale had a lifelong passion for working with his hands. A skilled craftsman, he was known for his creativity, resourcefulness, and pride in his work. He loved the outdoors—especially golfing, landscaping, and fishing—and treasured fishing trips to Canada with his sons, Eric and Jasen. Dale was a natural problem solver, known for his kindness, practical wisdom, and willingness to help anyone, anytime.

Despite facing numerous health challenges over the years, Dale remained remarkably positive and resilient. His unwavering optimism and strength of spirit were an inspiration to all who knew him. He had a rare gift for seeing the good in every person and every situation.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sally; his sons, Eric (Marcie) and Jasen; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Dale’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
