HE KEPT IT PITHY so… “AND HERE IS THE REST OF THE STORY”
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1949 to Donald Tallar, Sr. and Virginia (nee Bukowski) Tallar. Died at home in Waukesha, Wisconsin after a brief battle with cancer on December 28, 2021 at the age of 72. Survived by his older brother Donald Tallar Jr., wife Susan (nee Biwer) Tallar, children Andrea (Christopher) Kohl, Nicole (Scot) Flannery, and Jonathan Tallar (Joy), grandchildren Michael and Madeline Kohl, Liam, Ian, Finn, and Eli Flannery, and Maelynn Stacey (Tallar). Along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Marvin and Betty (nee Larson) Biwer.
Attended St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Elementary School and South High School in Milwaukee. Was an Apprentice/Journeyman Draftsmen at MATC with Falk. Received a Bachelor of Science Industrial Management from MSOE. He met his wife through his best friend who were Polish Mazur Dancers and they married in 1970. Built a home and moved to Waukesha in 1976.
Proudly worked and taught in engineering fields throughout his career. He loved to walk in the early morning at the Fox River County Park and Downtown Waukesha; most would remember him by his hat and sleeveless vest in all weather. He faithfully donated blood to the Southeastern Wisconsin Blood Bank (over 65 gallons in his lifetime). He attended many charity golf outings and events. He is famous for his “Sound Off” letters to the editors of the Waukesha Freeman and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspapers. His hobby was going out for a good meal and conversation. He frequently enjoyed single malt scotch, Golden Tee Golf, swordfish, and a tobacco pipe at The Union House, Denny’s, The Cue Club, and The Nice Ash and missed going to Christina’s and The Gasthaus.
Please join us for a Celebration of his Life on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at The Cue Club of Wisconsin at 2454 North Grandview Boulevard, Waukesha, WI 53188. Please come share stories and memories with us while enjoying food and beverage together.
