Charles “Chuck” Edward Heckman Sr., 87, of Mukwonago, WI, peacefully passed away on November 3, 2022, surrounded by his family. Chuck was born to Chas and Olive Heckman on September 17, 1935, in Monaca, PA. He served 2 years in the United States Army. After graduating from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, Chuck began his career at Crucible Steel near Pittsburgh, PA. He moved to East Troy, WI, in 1968 and worked in accounting as VP of Finance for 16 years at Trent Tube. Chuck retired in 2012 as VP Controller and Chairman of the Board at Wisconsin Ovens.
Chuck was an icon in the community as President of the East Troy Business Development Organization. He was an active member of the Lake Beulah Yacht Club where he enjoyed manning the signal boat for countless sailboat races. He spent winters watching beautiful sunsets from their condo in Marco Island, FL.
He dearly loved his family and friends, and the many gatherings throughout the years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maryellen, as well as his children Chaz (Cherylynn), David (Gina), and Rod (Laura), and 7 grandchildren Alyssa, Zach, Jessica, Brianna, Brady, Ryan, and Will. He is also survived by his brother William (Violet) Heckman, and niece and nephew, Valarie and Ron.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in East Troy, WI. Visitation from 9-11 am, followed by service at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in East Troy or Lake Beulah Yacht Club Sailing School.
