Cathleen Ann Gross

Cathy "Cathleen Ann" Gross, 75, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 7, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1948, and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Cathy moved to Oconomowoc in 1979 for her love of the lake country area. She was known for her compassion and kindness. She was a fun-loving individual who had the “gift of gab” working at Dotties in Stone Bank, WI.  She adored her home in the country that housed her beloved pets, especially her horse, Senator. Trail riding and gardening were her passions that brought her great joy, along with spending time with her precious grandchildren, family, and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Gross; her children: Ronald (Terri) Hoelzer, Randy Hoelzer, and Shelly (nee Hoelzer) Borenz; her step-daughter, Stephanie (James) Waniorek; her sister, Diane (Anthony) Wagner; her brother, Lynn Halboth; and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Delores M. and Robert V. Halboth; her sisters: Janet, Suzanne, and Cynthia; sister-in-law, Linda; and her brother, Robert Halboth.

A service to celebrate Cathy's life will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM at St. Catherine’s of Alexandria, located at W359 N9512 Brown St, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Stepping Stones Farm (https://www.steppingstonefarms.org/take-action) in honor of Cathy's love for horses.
