It is with deep sadness that I announce Carole Schuhman passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 9, 2026.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John, and cherished friends: Bette Friedberg, Carolyn Foster, and Sharon Sigman.

She was a loving wife to John for over 44 years. They spent many hours watching movies, taking day trips, long weekend getaways, and enjoying each others company.

Carole also enjoyed artistic projects such as: making rugs, baskets, and decoupage paper wall hangings, often incorporating her love of butterfly's.

Carole was a dedicated elementary school teacher of 33 years who truly loved and cared about her students. Her strong work ethic and teaching skills left a lasting impression on her students, parents, and colleagues alike. 

We have tremendous gratitude and appreciation for the entire staff of Agrace and Brightstar Hospice Care for their unfailing source of comfort and care of Carole. Thanks also to to Elizabeth Reid, APNP, of Village Primary Care Providers. Her care and kindness were invaluable to Carole and John for many years.

Carole's legacy will live on through the lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and creative spirit. Her memory will bring comfort to all who knew her.
