Carol Ann Heideman

Carol Ann Heideman (nee Lisztwan) of Hartford, WI (formerly of Cudahy), passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, January 3, 2023, at the age of 82.

Carol is survived by her children, Lisa (Carol) and Steve (Kim); her sister-in law, Sue; her lifelong friend, Myrna; her grandchildren: Melinda (Dwight), Jessica (Jeff), Stephanie (Rey), Danny, and Katie (Brandon); her great grandchildren: Marcus, Trevor, Victoria, Ben, Bradley, Kaylee, Alex, and Oliver; and other relatives and dear friends.

Carol worked as a secretary for the the U.S. Air Force Procurement Office, the U.S. Forestry Service and finally for Rexnord/Nordberg. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 1980. Over time, the MS slowly took away her independence and her children and other family members cared for her at home for the duration of her illness. Carol and her family were blessed to have the help of many wonderful caregivers from several different agencies over the years. Special friendships were built with Paulette, Sandra, Janet, Jean, Chris, Barbara, and others. Her battle ended peacefully with the MS left behind and her Spirit in eternal peace.

The family would like to express special thanks to her latest caregiver, Holly, from International Quality Homecare, and to all of the wonderful folks; especially her nurses, Taylor and Meghan, at Horizon Hospice who provided everything necessary for Mom’s final days.

A private celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
