Arthur Eddy Cleveland, a beloved figure known for his generous spirit and love of family, passed away on August 26, 2024 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was born on June 10, 1947, in Rochester, New York. Arthur's life was marked by dedication, resilience, and cherished moments spent with loved ones.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army as a corporal the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart for bravery and commitment. Arthur carried the values instilled in him by his military service throughout his life, demonstrating loyalty and strength in every endeavor he pursued.
Arthur was known for his love of sailing on Lake Michigan, where he created many treasured memories with friends and family. A true enthusiast of the great outdoors, he found joy in the open water, laughter, and companionship.
He is survived by his brother, Ernie Cleveland; daughter, Lori-ann Gebhardt and son-in-law, Paul Gebhardt; his granddaughter, Briar Reichenbach and grandson-in-law, Nate Reichenbach; his grandson, Darian Gebhardt; and his companion, Nancy Hetzel. They, along with many friends, will fondly remember Arthur for his kindness, humor, and the warmth he brought to every gathering.
Arthur joins his deceased family members, including his mother, Mildred Langer, his ex-wife, Deidre Cleveland, and his beloved cat, Willy, in eternal rest. His legacy will continue to resonate within the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
To honor Art’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. I invite you to please privately celebrate Art’s memory in your own ways. I know that he will be with us all in spirit. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
