Andrea Lee Abel

Andrea “Andi” Abel went home to her Savior on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, after a nearly 6 year battle with cancer. Anyone who knew her knew she fought with everything she had and kept her feisty attitude and sense of humor until the end.

Andi is survived by her loving husband, Mike, who was her constant support. Through their marriage, they had the unique blessing of supporting each other through many hardships and they never left each other’s side. They were also blessed with two boys, who they are immensely proud of and loved fiercely, James (Karen) Abel and Joe (Jen) Abel; also stepdaughter, Michele Abel; and step-grandson, Jeremy Neese.

Nothing made Andrea light up quite like her grandsons: Bryson, Camden, Maxwell, and Mika. They were the light of Grammy’s life and always brought a smile to her face. They were also the source of so much of her laughter; they could cheer her up when nothing else could.

Andrea is also survived by her three brothers, Arthur Kabelowsky, Jerome “Jerry” (Nancy) Kabelowsky, and Wayne (Mary) Kabelowsky. She’s preceded in death by her other siblings, Carol “Toots” Maertz, Karin Walther, and Bryan Kabelowsky.

We are so grateful for the huge support system Andrea had up until her final breath. There were always people checking in, stopping in to see her and asking about her; words cannot express our gratitude for your friendships.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Village Bowl (N86W18330 Main St, Menomonee Falls, WI, 53051) in the Mardi Gras room on November 19th, 2022, from 12pm-4pm, with a brief devotion at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please donate to the charity closest to your heart or pay it forward with an act of kindness in Andrea’s honor.
