Alex moved on peacefully to become a spirit in the sky on August 25, 2025, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. He was born in Waukesha, WI, on December 29, 1994, to Heather Taylor and Reynold Bacon. On November 4, 2017, Alex married his high school sweetheart, Lauren.
Alex will always be remembered for his deep love of music. He was famous for quizzing friends and family on song titles and artists. While he appreciated all genres, classic rock and reggae held a special place in his heart—classic rock reminded him of his grandparents, and reggae, especially Bob Marley, brought him peace and joy.
He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: traveling, hiking, longboarding, playing disc golf, and spending time outdoors or with the people he loved most.
To know Alex was to love him. His easy-going nature, humor, and warmth made him a friend to everyone he met.
Alex is deeply loved by many, especially his mama and caregiver, Heather (Phil); his wife, Lauren; his father, Reynold; and his grandma, Minnie. He will be forever missed by his siblings: Alicia (Jeff), Victoria, Samantha (Kenny), Taylor (Quentin), Rachel (Colby), Nathan (Serena), and Zachary; his cousins, Michael (Melissa) and Crystal (Roy); his aunts: Jaimie (Jeff), Lisa (Bill), and Rhonda; his uncles: Ricky, Russell, Nathan, and Chris; his in-laws: Brenda (Tracy), Robert (Shay), Heather (David), and Samantha; and his nieces and nephews, each of whom held a very special place in his heart.
He is also cherished by a large extended family of great-aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Alex was welcomed into the sky by his grandpa, Bruce; grandma, Rosebud; grandpa, Gene; sister, Amanda; and unborn niece.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at ProHealth Care and Froedtert Hospital, and to the compassionate staff at AngelsGrace Hospice, for their exceptional care and support.
A Celebration of Life for Alex will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Alex’s honor.
